National Science Foundation study which has shown that there's been a decline in women graduating with computer science degrees from 1985 to 2001. We see these statistics reported all the time that in 1985 thirty-six percent of computer science degrees were awarded to women and that in 2001 we see twenty-seven percent. The problem here is we don't really know what population this is measuring. There's also no reporting at all, or no investigation on the part of the journalist, as to what the political climate might be that would produce these numbers.
