So how do people think about gender? One of the implicit models that we work with as researchers when we're sort of talking about 'the public' is this model. It's tempting, and yet, incorrect. People have a list of qualities that they associate with men and they associate with women. And so, we might think of men as big, aggressive, competitive, and good at math. We might think of women as small, docile, cooperative, and bad at math.
