A big issue is the question of how you invite people to join you. And this is, I think, more of an issue for a board than for a blog because of course as a blog you already have the people who are creating the content on board and ready to go, whereas with a board you are asking people to be an integral part of the community and how does the community get off the ground before it's really fully in existence is a sort of ongoing question. And so, I really think it's important to go beyond just hosting the board or just saying to people "Hey, it's there, come join us" because that's not really enough. People need to have a clear sense of what the rules and norms of the board are and I think this is a particularly important one for women in science because there's an ongoing issue of insiders and outsiders for women in science.
So, those are things that I think are really important to talk about and to think about.
